There are not many research conducted in Cyprus on cyberbullying of children aged 6-14. In recent years, online bullying has spread rapidly, and many parents are still relatively unaware of it. A study conducted by "Save the Children" (2016) states that 6.9% of 9-16 year olds children experience cyberbullying. A study conducted by UNICEF in 2017 shows that this percentage has risen to 12%. According to survey conducted in Lithuania at the end of 2019 (228 respondents), about 67% of participants do not know where to turn after experiencing online bullying or hatred. 1/3 notice hate groups and aggressive speech online. 56% of parents are unaware that their children have received offensive or painful messages.

The aim of this project is to contribute to the reduction of  cyberbullying, hatred by improving the digital, media, personal, social and civic competences of children aged 6-14, parents and teachers, as well as to promote common EU values, unity and diversity, foster intercultural competences, critical thinking and media literacy.
