Digital skills are essential for seniors to participate in modern society, but many training programs focus only on basic digital literacy, leaving gaps in areas like social media use and digital content creation. Seniors face challenges in navigating social media, managing online identity, and creating digital content, but these skills can enhance their social connections, creativity, and confidence. To address this, an intergenerational learning approach will be used, where younger digital mentors teach seniors about social media and content creation, while seniors share their life skills.
Main goals:
-
Encourage seniors (60+) to build digital skills and confidence through social media and digital content creation.
-
Equip seniors and educators with skills to create personal digital stories and develop a B2F Digital Portfolio.
-
Provide elder educators and younger generations with knowledge on effective mentorship, awarding Digital Mentor Badges.
-
Promote intergenerational learning through local and international Seniorthons (hackathons for seniors).
-
Engage younger generations in mentoring seniors and earning Digital Mentor Badges.
-
Raise awareness about the importance of intergenerational learning at both national and EU levels.
