The programme “Emotional Balance: How to Help Yourself So You Can Help Others” is designed for adults who wish to strengthen their emotional well-being, mental health, emotional intelligence and ability to take care of themselves in everyday and professional life.

In today’s society, many people face a constant flow of information, a fast pace of life, emotional pressure, stress and the risk of burnout. This is especially relevant for people who care for others on a daily basis, work with people, or carry a higher level of emotional responsibility. In order to help others, it is essential first to be able to recognise one’s own emotional state, notice early signs of fatigue, tension or burnout, and apply self-help strategies in time.

During this programme, participants will deepen their knowledge of emotional intelligence, the impact of stress on emotional and physical well-being, burnout prevention and the strengthening of emotional resilience. Strong emphasis will be placed on practical activities, including self-reflection, discussions, emotion recognition and self-regulation exercises, breathing, relaxation, mindfulness and other self-help practices. The programme will give participants the opportunity not only to gain theoretical knowledge but also to try out practical methods that can be applied in everyday situations.

Main aim of the programme

To provide adults with knowledge and practical skills that help strengthen emotional intelligence and mental health, maintain emotional balance, manage stress more effectively, and apply burnout prevention and self-help strategies in everyday and professional life.

The programme aims to:

Strengthen participants’ ability to recognise their emotions and understand their impact on well-being, behaviour and relationships with others.

Provide knowledge about stress, its causes, its impact on emotional and physical health, and practical ways to manage stress.

Help participants recognise the risk of burnout and early signs of emotional exhaustion.

Develop self-regulation, emotional resilience and self-help skills.

Encourage a conscious approach to emotional well-being, self-care and the long-term maintenance of emotional balance.

Help participants apply the acquired knowledge in both personal and professional life.

Programme topics

The programme covers topics related to emotional intelligence, motivation, discipline, stress, professional burnout, burnout prevention, self-help and strengthening a positive attitude. Participants will have the opportunity to create a personal motivation plan, try out stress management techniques, reflect on their experiences, complete emotional intelligence and emotional resilience self-assessment tasks, and explore the most suitable ways to support their emotional well-being.
