GENLINK – Bridging Generations Through Dialogue, Solidarity and Civic Engagement – was created to address a key question: why is dialogue between young people and adults often so difficult, and how can it become more constructive?
Coordinated by EDUPRO, the project brings together nine organisations across ten European countries, including youth NGOs, social enterprises, cultural organisations and community centres. Its aim is to create real connections between two worlds that often feel far apart: young people and adults.
GENLINK focuses mainly on young people aged 14 to 30, with special attention to those in vulnerable situations, such as migrants, LGBTQI+ youth, and young people living in rural areas. The project aims to strengthen democratic participation, media literacy, and intergenerational dialogue.
The activities are practical and inclusive: young people will create podcasts, videos, digital magazines, and online exhibitions, as well as take part in “Civic Cafés”, where citizens, young people, and decision-makers can meet and discuss important issues. Through participatory theatre and digital storytelling, participants will develop critical thinking skills and learn how to recognise misinformation.
Aligned with the European Youth Goals, GENLINK promotes participation, inclusion, and safe spaces for dialogue, while also contributing to stronger democracy and social cohesion in Europe.
GENLINK is not just a project: it is a real bridge between generations that too often stand apart. Where dialogue once felt difficult, it creates space for listening, exchange, and active participation. Because the future is not built by separating young people and adults, but by bringing them together to move in the same direction.
